U.S. Green Building Council's Greenbuild 2012

The U.S. Green Building Council is holding its annual Greenbuild event in San Francisco from November 14-16, 2012. Greenbuild features three days of speakers, networking opportunities, industry showcases, LEED workshops and tours of the host city's green buildings. The C40 is supporting two sessions with a focus on cities at Greenbuild 2012 – and a number of C40 Cities from around the world are planning to attend.
C40 Green Growth Network Workshop

The C40 Green Growth Network Workshop will convene C40 City government officials who are responsible for green growth strategies in their cities and build the agenda for the C40 Green Growth Network for the coming year. It presents an opportunity for C40 Cities to discuss best practice on themes such as creating jobs in the sustainability sector, working with clusters of green organizations and businesses to drive innovation, and determining the economic rationale to undertake green policies by measuring wider socioeconomic impacts. The workshop will also be a problem-solving forum, where key barriers and solutions for green growth issues will be shared and discussed.
Rio + C40: Megacity Mayors Taking Action on Climate Change

Hosted by the City of Melbourne, this C40 Workshop will focus on how cities and key stakeholders can create sustainable communities through innovative policy solutions, and by working collaboratively with developers and infrastructure providers. It will be a problem-solving forum, where key barriers and solutions are explored in-depth by cities, alongside leading thinkers and businesses working in this sector.
Climate Positive Learning Program -- Second Phase
March 26-28, 2012 |Melbourne, Australia
The second phase of the Climate Positive Learning Program is a three day program, comprising two dedicated days exclusive to the Climate Positive Development Program Development Partners, and a third day where Development Partners will attend joint sessions with city officials at the C40 Sustainable Communities Workshop. These two workshops are being co-located to build stronger interaction and collaboration between the two groups.
